Step right up and win a prize! WFE contest hosted by Algonquin Books

Can we win this?

Ok no…Algonquin Books is not giving away Robowski BUT they are giving away 3 WFE books:

The Water for Elephants movie–starring Robert Pattinson, Reese Witherspoon, and Christoph Waltz–won’t be in theaters until 2011, but ever since filming began on May 20, photos from the set have been popping up everywhere.  The stars clearly have been hard at work; Pattinson is even missing promotional appearances for Twilight Eclipse . Talk about dedication! You can follow the Water for Elephants Film blog for daily updates and new photos.

And behold! We’re giving away three copies of Water for Elephants, along with some choice Twilight paraphernalia (because c’mon, who doesn’t love RPatz?). Want to win? Just post a comment below and on Friday, June 18, we’ll choose three lucky winners at random.

Awesome! Click HERE to leave your comment and enter the contest. GOOD LUCK!

  • OutOfMyElement

My very own copy of the book would be awesome!

  • The book was great and I could see clearly the characters and how well the actors fit each one nicely. Can’t wait to see the film!

  • Mandy07

I read Sarah Gruen’s book a while back and always pictured a tall, good looking young man playing the lead. It didn’t surprise me that Rob had been picked, not only because of his good looks but because he can really act! I’ve watched him in every movie he’s made and can see how much he has poured himself into these characters, not only will I see this movie in the theater but I will eventually own it on my shelf.

  • Rhonda

I loved the book and I have to agree with the others, I think Rob is the perfect Jacob. I really can’t wait for this movie to come out!

  • Sara Gordon

After meeting Mrs. Gruen on a circus lot and seeing how much she researched while compiling this novel I am excited to see it moved to the big screen. Marlene’s character is very realistic and well described. The events are based on actual events in circus lore and history. I feel privileged to have read this novel and as a teacher, if I am given new copies, I will donate them to the school library here in Berlin so that others can enjoy the magic as well. In the movie I hope that Ms. Witherspoon and Mr. Pattinson have a great time around the animals and that they cherish the special time they have with circus people and on the train.

  • Jen

I haven’t had a chance to read this book yet, but after watching this website and reading other ones too I definitely will. Definitely would love my own copy of the book! Cannot wait until this movie comes out!

  • Leanna

Just finished reading the book (checked it out from the library). I enjoyed it more than I thought I would and would love to have a copy of my own. Am really looking forward to seeing how it has been adapted to a movie.

In the pic above he needs his bandage changed. i just got my first aid certificate, i’ll do it!!! ;-), damn pesky cats. Great book though , i would love to win it .I borrowed it from the library 3 times now and passed it on to 3 friends who loved it as well,( Two were males)and they cannot wait for this movie , neither are RP fans (yet).
If i owned a copy the book will be passed along to many more friends and i can also delve into it again and again. Buggar it i might just go and buy myself a copy anyhow.

  • I’ve read the book twice and it means alot more when you can put a face with a name. I feel like I work in the circus too. I’m on a fixed income so yes I would like a copy of my own. I don’t even have my own computer I share with whom ever will let me check up on Robert Thomas Pattinson and I enjoy every minuet of it. Keep the Pictures coming.

  • This is such an amazing book. It’s quite possibly the movie I’m most looking forward to besides Bel Ami. Great work on the site!!

Read Water for Elephants as an ARC and loved it – was way ahead of the many admirers but would love some good booty to share with the 100 school librarians I work with.

I saw Sara Gruen at BEA a few weeks back and picked up a ARC of her new book due out in September – Ape House.
    Read it in two nights.

    Looking forward to the movie.
